SYNOPSIS

Dan Wolman, who's many fictional features have included extreme parent-children relationships, tries to find out what lies at the root of the childhood traumas portrayed there.
In "Spoken with Love" he paints a tender picture of his parents’ relationship starting with their first meeting in fascist Italy and following through the turbulent periods they lived through. The film bears many surprises such as:
At a young age Dan's father was appointed to be Haile Selassie's private doctor. At the age of eight Dan discovered that a photograph of a young man in German army uniform in his parent's bedroom is his uncle's.
"Spoken with Love" is a delicate portrayal of a great love of a generation dedicated to their work and ideals, but it touches also on the price that people around them had to pay.
